Amicis Commerce Agents

What the assistant actually does

Hands-free cart assembly

Add lines, set quantities, attach a customer to the cart, suspend and resume. The assistant never tenders, returns, refunds, voids, or applies a discount — those steps stay with the human at the POS by design.

Customer research

Look up customers by name, email, phone, or account number. Read purchase history, loyalty cards, wish lists, affiliations, and the full timeline of notes and interactions while the customer is still standing there.

Product discovery

Search the product catalogue, resolve sizes and colours to a real variant, and check on-hand availability at the current store.

Clienteling

Browse your client book, add and remove clients, and log activity directly to the customer timeline so the next associate has the full story.

Task & checklist management

Search store tasks, surface what's overdue, move items between NotStarted, InProgress, and Completed, and create new tasks inside any checklist.

Training & triage

A new hire can ask the assistant how to do something on the POS and it explains the screen, names the right button, and uses screen-aware navigation to surface the matching view.

Fleet visibility & remote support

From the web console, managers and IT can see which registers are online across every store, send a message to a specific terminal, or open Remote Support Mode and chat with the associate at the lane — no walk-around, no screen-share.

Five conversation starters

Try these on day one to feel out what the assistant can do.

  1. "Pull up Maria's last three purchases and her wish list." Customer research — looks up the customer, pulls purchase history, returns wish-list products.
  2. "Add the navy size eight to the cart and attach Maria." Hands-free cart assembly — resolves dimensions to a variant, adds the line, attaches the customer. You tender at the POS.
  3. "What's open on the morning checklist?" Tasks — searches checklists, surfaces items that aren't yet complete.
  4. "Show me everyone in my client book who hasn't been in this month." Clienteling — reads your client book, cross-checks recent timeline activity.
  5. "Where do I find the manager override for a return?" Training — explains the screen and navigates the POS to the right view so the human can complete the action.

A signed Windows application that runs next to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce on POS lanes and back-office PCs. Voice push-to-talk and a floating chat panel. Talks to the same Commerce Scale Unit (formerly Retail Server) your Store Commerce app is paired with — local or cloud-hosted, your choice.

In Microsoft 365 Copilot

Inside Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat — Teams, Outlook, Word, the web. Packaged as a Microsoft 365 Copilot declarative agent for your tenant. Relays securely through the Amicis Agent Cloud to your store's commerce agents for POS and HQ assistance.

What you'll need

Amicis Commerce Agents plug into your existing Microsoft estate. To get started you'll need:

  • An active Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce environment (this is what the assistant reads from and writes to).
  • An Amicis Commerce Agents subscription (sign up on this site).
  • To use the Microsoft 365 Copilot surface: a separate Microsoft 365 Copilot licence for each user who'll chat with the assistant in Copilot Chat. The in-store surface does not require Copilot.

No customer transaction data is stored in the Amicis cloud beyond the lifetime of a single conversation turn. The Copilot agent relays securely through the Amicis Agent Cloud to your store's commerce agents, which read from your Commerce Scale Unit — local or cloud-hosted — and return the answer to your user.
